DOWN THE MEMORY LANE #6

Don’t lose hope

Dumbstruck tom stood on the pavement hearing the counts of the auction of his home. His younger sister clinging to his leg was weeping and his mother shattered as they were now abandoned and homeless.
His father lost his job when the sugar mill was closed and was unable to fight the case of their disputed but only home from their relatives.
“1.2.3 sold” was only what tom heard before becoming unconscious .

When he rolled his eye lids he found himself on the foot path and his sister rolling lukewarm pads over his forehead. His parents collected their furniture and sold them to a local store getting just 150 dollars.

Now their family slowly toddled to the outskirts of Washington. Then they mounted the train for the countryside where they rented a small cottage.

His father became an apprentice to a carpenter and his mother became a maid for the landlord and did the cleaning and maintenance works for them. Now tom was banging the doors in search of a job but to see empty faces.

There he met a gardener who had too much work. Tom helped him selflessly and the gardener handed him a cent and asked him to dispose the grass to the dumpster.  Tom lifted the grass on his shoulder and went ahead.

He met a poor farmer who had a cow but no land to feed them. Tom sold his grass in turn got 3 litres milk.

He went ahead and a plan springed in his mind and returned home , prepared cheese out of it and sold house to house and adopted it as a business and in the meantime he also polished his future and got admitted to a college and completed his high school and progressed further.

  2. Greetings! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
