​She worked all day and night for the household chores even on weekends and festivals to serve her family but the irony was that she was called the nonworking and dependent member according to the census.

  1. How things are said definitely forms the bigger ideas and picture. Too often the answer to the category of ‘non-working, dependent’ is to have a government program in which stay at home parents are paid. We lose every time we monetize a ‘service’. What the ‘non-working, dependent’ does is more than a ‘service’ and it would be demeaned if it was monetized. Anything that’s monetized comes under an unwanted scrutiny, not to mention what inflation would do.
    Random thoughts that in a round about way is my way of saying, what women contribute to society has never been properly appreciated.
