The apocalypse happened in the downpour of tears , adding a tinge of grotesque emptiness instilling the chambers of his heart.
He rose from his seat insidiously and walked to the stage, clasped the microphone and uttered “HI” to his listeners. His expressions reflected those of the audience. The cacophonous sounds rose in his ears some of the real world while others of his imagination.
He stood insipid of his surroundings, still fighting a humongous war against the phobia and fear as it was the same stage where he was publicly humiliated years back and this memory stabbed his vocal chords. He could see the audience growing impatient which eventually increased his nervousness . His legs began to shiver in dusky pants and voice trembled then he fainted.
Short and sweet! It’s very well-written.

Public Speaking can feel like the end of life as we know it. Been there, hated it!
